As early adopters of Biodiversity Net Gain we established East Cambridgeshire's first registered Habitat Bank on our farm, adjacent to the Ouse Washes SSSI and now recognised as strategically significant in the Local Nature Recovery Strategy. Our site includes a range of medium and high distinctiveness habitats with the ability to scale up further and expand to further habitat types, providing developers with the certainty and flexibility they need.

Oxwillow is situated in East Cambridgeshire LPA and The Fens NCA. We are adjacent to 5 other LPAs, some of which fall into the OxCam Arc and 8 NCAs stretching from East Anglian Chalk and Brecks to The Lincolnshire Vale and Coast.

Further Opportunities
We are project partners in the Ouse Washes Landscape Recovery Project, an ambitious scheme comprising of private landowners and eNGO’s. The project has identified further locations for habitat creation in high priority areas to protect peatland and increase the breeding success rate of rare bird species along with local wildlife. Through this we have designed a High Distinctiveness Floodplain Wetland Mosaic scheme combined with community and stakeholder engagement and are looking for collaborations with NSIP’s and developers requiring BNG to bring it to life.
